You can do many things in this part of Guanacaste, there are tons of beautiful beaches for miles in either direction, zip lines, gold courses, volcanoes, just lots to do. I recently had clients that went sail fishing from Ocotal and two of them had sailfish on their lines at the same time (over 100 lbs. each). There is also a resort restaurant in Ocotal that has a beautiful deck, a great place to have a drink and enjoy a sunset, overlooking Ocotal Bay (the last photo is from there).
To make this even cheaper, you could split the cost with a friend and still have it for half a year for cheap!!!

The beautifully landscaped complex has 24 hour security, a beautiful pool and common laundry. It is an easy walk to Ocotal Beach and just 5 minutes drive to Downtown Coco Beach.
This is the condo I want to buy. I will give you full price if you will finance $19,000 for three years with $10,000 down. Otherwise I will have to buy in Cocomarindo. Or trade for a $49,000 2bd, 1bth house in Arenal?
the problem with these areas, is the lack of drinkable water. Corrupts county politicians sold the entire provincia to big resorts, and nobody care to have a water supply study before hand. I’m a local. If you want to buy, visit in the summer, in the rainy season, they will get away with selling those properties to anyone.
